tinkor tailor soldier spyThe British intelligence office has been compromised. Years of work has been meticulously undermined resulting in a leadership change within the central office. George Smiley is a recent victim of the regime change and finds himself, for the first time, outside of the family. His exile is short lived, however, as the change at the tip does not seem to have solved the problem of a Russian mole in British intelligence. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is a novel by John le Carre' that defines espionage genre. Le Carre' writes in a uniquely British tone with uniquely British characters. The book moves slowly and smartly. A complex web of relationships and personalities knit together the plot of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy where each minor detail reverberates like a gunshot.

I would highly recommend reading this book. It is extremely well written, honest, and raw. Anglophiles and fans of espionage will be delighted in this masterful work from Le Carre'.
